When Roots Coloring Is Necessary
There is a difference between the roots coloring technique and the usual method.
One may even try to do it at home, but it is strongly recommended to visit a good hair salon. If you mess up your roots color, it would be extremely hard to transition all your hair length to the same color.
Also, the root coloring service in the salon is strictly needed in these 3 cases:
- if you need to update the color of the regrown hair, to match the base color;
- if the regrown roots contrast expressively in relation to the hair length;
- when gray hair is noticeable on the regrown area.
First Time Visit
If you visit us for the first time to color roots, our masters will help you to pick a shade that does not require frequent correction - the growing roots will smoothly flow into the overall color.
This effect is obtained by picking the slightly lighter shade than the overall color. The roots area is the most sensitive one, and only carefully chosen pigments will keep your hair flawless.
The main difficulty of the procedure is to choose the right tone. Of course, you can always recolor the strands to the full length. But this option has many cons. For example, the time, money, the effect on the hair. And, also, the impossibility of obtaining the result that suits you 100%. And the roots will still cast from the tips.
For an excellent result, turn to real professionals - these are the masters who work in our Mango Blow dry bar & spa.
Root Coloring Technology
When coloring the roots, different nuances are taken into account:
- original hair color;
- the color of the strands;
- the presence of gray hair;
- the presence of complex staining.
For brunettes and red-haired ladies who have dyed their hair blonde, the procedure begins with discoloration of the root area. Then a coloring composition is applied to it, which is kept for the prescribed period of time (usually 25-35 minutes). Further, the paint is distributed over the entire length and left for another 10 minutes. This guarantees the alignment of the tone and complete fusion of the roots in color with the rest of the hairstyle.
Regrown gray hair may require pre-pigmentation or etching, depending on the color. If the natural roots are light, then permanent color is immediately applied to the root area. Then it is kept for a longer time. The demi-permanent color is then applied to the full length for just a few minutes. This allows to blur the transition and to refresh the color.
To perform roots coloring it is best to contact the master who did the first coloring procedure. But if you did it not in our beauty salon, our masters will be happy to help you. They will select the right shade and carry out the procedure quickly and professionally.
